Bermuda is set to continue today.

Attorney General Elliott Mottley will be asking Puisne Judge Vincent Meerabux for a stay on his decision to overturn a controversial Act banning foreign fast food restaurants from Bermuda. The move comes pending further action by the Attorney General in the Court of Appeal.

A stay of judgement will block the establishment of any fast food franchises until the appeal is heard.

And Mark Diel, lawyer for Grape Bay, will be making an application for costs following victory for the firm controlled by ex-Premier Sir John Swan and United Bermuda Party backbencher Maxwell Burgess.

The hearing was scheduled for yesterday, but was put off because of a crowded Supreme Court calendar and the short notice of the request for a stay. Mr.

Mottley slammed broadcast reports suggesting there was something sinister in the private hearing.
