Finance Minister the Hon. Dr. David Saul said yesterday Mr. Hannam had no particular reason for retiring and plans to stay on the Island.

The Englishman came here 23 years ago to work in the Finance Ministry. He has Bermuda status several and lives in Devonshire.

"He has done a fantastic job for Government,'' Dr. Saul said.

Dr. Saul said Mr. Hannam will retire at the end of next July.
