Mr. Hector -- a QC -- has been voted in as president of the influential Bermuda Bar Council for the next year.

He will be backed by vice-president Ian Kawaley and honorary secretary Trevor Moniz.

And new political Attorney General Lois Browne Evans will sit with them as an ex-officio member.

The new slate of Bar Council members are David Kessaram, ex-Attorney General Saul Froomkin QC, Timothy Counsell, Robin Mayor, Perry Trott and Victoria Pearman.
