But he admits that some of the equipment is unlikely to come to Bermuda for some years yet.

"There's an X-ray machine that will detect anything concealed between your body and your clothing, but it's extremely expensive,'' he says. "And there's a probe in the US you can put in a container which takes an air sample.

There's also a machine which will X-ray a truck but they are $5 million apiece.

"It's far too expensive for here but it does exist. They have picked up human cargo using these machines on the Mexican border.'' DRUGS DGS
