Hotel rooms burgled
Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said someone broke into a visiting couple's hotel room at the Belmont Hotel, Warwick, sometime between midnight and 6.30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Mrs. James Barnett said the culprit stole money from the man's wallet and the woman's purse.
A similar theft from a hotel room took place on Wednesday at the Harmony Club in Paget.
Mrs. James Barnett said a visiting North Carolina couple locked their room around 10.30 a.m. but returned at 4.30 p.m. to discover some had broken in.
Jewellery and clothing were stolen.
And a handbag was snatched from a golf cart on the tenth green of the Belmont Golf Course around 2.20 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. James Barnett said the handbag contained cash, travellers' cheques and other personal items.
An 18-year-old and a 16-year-old, both from Warwick, were arrested and taken to Hamilton Police station.
Police inquiries are continuing.
