Government Whip Ottiwell Simmons said it was likely to be a short session which they have most definitely earned.

On the agenda is the second reading of the Supreme Court Amendment Act 2000, tabled by the Minister of Legislative Affairs, Dame Lois Browne Evans, which will make provisions for more Supreme Court judges.

There will also be the second reading of the The Court of Appeal Amendment Act 2000, also tabled by Dame Lois Browne Evans, which will make provisions for additional judges to sit on an appeal panel.

Two other motions, a second reading of The Investment Business Amendment Act 2000, tabled by the Minister of Finance, Eugene Cox and a motion to be moved by MP Wayne Perinchief: "That this House takes note of the Report of the Commission of Inquiry into serious Criminal Offences in Bermuda,'' will be carried over.

The Opposition is expected to ask several questions of the Government and Shadow Health Minister, Kim Young is expected to ask for Government's report on the operation of the 911 emergency service to be made public.

The report was carried out around May of this year following complaints relating to the arrival of an ambulance.
