Agostinho Maduro, of Middle Road, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to driving along Crow Lane while impaired on September 14.

Prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said Police were on patrol when they spotted Maduro speeding and riding his motorcycle in an erratic manner.

Upon stopping him, the officers noticed that Maduro appeared to have been drinking.

Sgt. Taylor said subsequent tests showed that Maduro had at least 212 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis ordered Maduro to pay a $450 fine and took him off the road for a year.
