Catherine Stewart, 14, and her 11-year-old sister Emily, have been hand-feeding the animal on cat food since they found him last week, but are travelling with their family to the United States on holiday tomorrow and need to find someone to take over the role of mother bird.

Catherine was working at the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo when the small Kiskedee came in injured after falling out of its nest. The zoo was going to put the bird down, but the caring girl stepped in to try and save its life.

Although the bird appears to be making a successful recovery it is not yet ready to go back into the wild and now needs a new home.
