The Supreme Court cause book listed the plaintiffs as Paul Barrington Hubbard and John David Boden "as next friends of Betty Lorraine McMahon''.

Mr. Hubbard, well-known in Bermuda as a veteran yachtsman, and Mr. Boden are partners in the firm of chartered accountants, Deloitte and Touche.

The Royal Gazette understands they are receivers for the McMahon estate.

Previously, Mr. Hall has acted as Mrs. McMahon's lawyer.

The writ was entered in the cause book on February 21. The amount, just revealed, is for $1,609,740.63.

Mrs. McMahon, widow of a Canadian industrialist, has been unavailable for comment. Mr. Hall was yesterday said to be off the Island.

Yesterday Mr. Boden declined to throw light on the lawsuit.

"We are talking about a client of ours and we have not been instructed to make any comment.'' Mr. Boden said the client was Mrs. McMahon.

She is the widow of Mr. Frank McMahon, who died in 1986 at his Harbour Road, Paget home. A Canadian millionaire who had lived in Bermuda for 13 years when he died in his sleep at age 83, he built Canada's first natural gas pipeline.

His horse Majestic Prince won the Kentucky Derby in 1969.
