Members of the Development Applications Board approved in principle a plan by Lindos Family Foods Ltd. to build an extension to the former Giant Foods building on Middle Road, Warwick.

The DAB said, however, when the firm asks for final planning approval it should discuss the new building's final design details with Government technical officers.

In other applications, the DAB also approved a plan by the Hibiscus Trust to change a residential property on Point Finger Road, Paget into a doctor's office.

The Board also approved an application by the Mid Ocean Club to build six foot walls around the golf course fifth tee, but said the area had to be landscaped.

A plan by Correia and Coelho to build a warehouse and five houses, on Travellers Lane, Pembroke was turned down by the Board, citing the height of the proposed development which failed to satisfy requirements under the Bermuda Plan 1992 Planning Statement.
