Magazine offers olympic boost
Barcelona Olympics intensifies, the Bermuda Olympic Association (BOA) in conjunction with Bermuda Marketing has brought out the 1992 edition of The Bermudian Olympian magazine.
The product, which was published with the financial help of the local business community, is available free of charge at news stands throughout the Island.
Pictured (left) at the Bank of Butterfield's Olympic Centre at its Reid Street branch is BOA president Mr. Austin Woods presenting the first copy of the magazine to Premier the Hon. Sir John Swan, watched by Minister of Youth and Sport Sen. Pamela Gordon and Mr. Jim Amos, the BOA's vice-president.
At the Bank's Olympic Centre, customers can see photographs and read details of Bermuda's top athletes and can view video highlights of previous Games. The bank, which is currently running an $11,000 Olympic game for its ATM customers, has opened an account for people to donate funds to help Bermuda's Olympic team.
