be sent to Supreme Court for sentencing.

Yesterday Magistrate Edward King said the sentencing powers of the lower court were inadequate to deal with Wendell Earl Lovell.

Lovell, of South Shore Road, Smith's Parish, has been held remanded in custody since pleading guilty earlier this month to committing ten break-ins which netted some $22,000 in stolen goods.

But subsequent Police investigations uncovered a further 12 counts of house break-ins which raised the total value of Lovell's loot to $75,000.

Lovell's one-man crime spree included breaking into numerous houses in Smith's and Hamilton Parishes, and stealing cash, electrical goods and jewellery.

There was no court date announced for Lovell's sentencing.
