Man assaulted by would-be mugger
refused to give his money to a would-be thief.
He was sitting in his car at the junction of Cambridge and Somerset Road in Sandys around 5 p.m., when a stranger approached him, Police said.
The culprit threatened the man and demanded money. When the man refused, he cut his arm with a knife.
Police arrested a 16-year old Sandys youth in connection with the incident.
Enquiries are continuing.

"Their routine incorporates over 50 maneuvers with speeds up to 300 miles per hour...With the help of modified 340 HP `Monster Motor' engines the team was allowed to add five manoeuvres to their performance,'' a Base spokesman said.
BERMUDA TO RECEIVE POPULATION CLOCK GVT Bermuda to receive population clock A clock commemorating the global population exceeding five billion will be presented to Bermuda today by the United Nations Population Fund.
Health and Social Services Minister the Hon. Quinton Edness and Community and Cultural Affairs Minister the Hon. Leonard Gibbons will receive the clock from Mr. K.V. Moorthy, the UNFPA's Caribbean Director at the Cabinet Office.
"The Population Clock II is an updated version of the clock issued in 1987 in commemoration of the global population exceeding five billion,'' said a spokesman yesterday. "On 11 July, 1987, Bermuda joined other countries of the world in acknowledging that day as the `Day of Five Billion'.''
