and holed a vessel after two boats collided in St. George's Harbour.

Just after 10 p.m. on Saturday night a 12-foot jet-driven rigid inflatable, with two men on board, collided with the Thelma a 22-foot wooden cabin cruiser.

The impact of the collision smashed a hole in the cruiser and threw the two men on board the inflatable overboard. One scrambled onto the Thelma . However the other man could not be seen and Harbour Radio called in the Marine Police, local boats and the Fire Brigade to help search the area.

Just over an hour after the collision the missing man was found by Police at Dowlings Marine where he had swum ashore.

According to the Police the men in the inflatable were two brothers, aged 36 and 39, who were on their way to the Oberon moored in St. George's Harbour.

The younger man, who swam ashore, suffered a broken ankle in the accident and was detained in the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. His brother suffered facial injuries.

The elderly couple operating the cabin cruiser, which was holed above the water line, were uninjured but shocked by the accident.

Meanwhile Police arrested four men in connection with alleged drug offences over the weekend.

On Saturday morning officers arrested a 36-year-old Devonshire man on Roberts Avenue after he was found to be in possession of a rock-like substance, believed to be cocaine.

Police arrested a 37-year-old Somerset man on Cambridge Road, Sandys Parish, on Saturday afternoon, for suspected possession of cannabis.

And on Saturday evening Police arrested a 40-year-old Sandys Parish man after officers searched his home and found a substance believed to be cocaine.

In another incident, officers arrested a 27-year-old man following a violent struggle when they tried to search him.

On Saturday morning Police tried to search the man on Court Street under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Arrested for obstruction However he refused to be searched and when officers arrested him for obstruction he lashed out at the Police who called for help to detain the person.

Lastly Police came to the aid of an eight-year-old boy who was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with head, face and chest injuries following a pedal cycle accident.

On Saturday afternoon the boy was riding his bike on Beacon Hill Road when he rode off a four feet high wall into a yard.

He was helped by Police and taken to hospital by ambulance, but was released the same day after treatment.
