charge of manslaughter of one of his customers.

The 37-year-old Englishman was jailed for one month out of a 15-month sentence before the Court of Appeal overturned the conviction.

Pollock has always pleaded not guilty to pushing 51-year-old Crag McGavern to his death in the Emporium Building on Front Street in July 1998.

He was allegedly escorting Mr. McGavern out of the bar and restaurant with the assistance of two security guards when the man either fell or was pushed down the back stairs, suffering mortal head injuries.

It is understood that Pollock's friends held a fund raising party at Flanagan's on Thursday night.

Pollock is on $5,000 bail with two sureties.
