admitted using threatening words at the Ice Queen Restaurant last December.

The court heard the men were refused service at the restaurant. One of them then shouted: "We will f**k this place up and serve ourselves.'' Senior Magistrate Will Francis gave Laurie McMillan Burrows a three month suspended sentence and a $200 fine for using threatening words, and further fined him $200 for obstructing a Policeman.

Burrows' friend, Marlon Steven Symonds, was fined $300 for using threatening words.

Mr. Francis was told the men went to the Ice Queen at 4.15 a.m. on December 10 and were refused service.

Junior Crown counsel Veronica Gordon said the men became aggressive, entered the serving area, and a silent alarm was triggered, summoning Police.

Ms Gordon said Burrows told Police -- to peals of laughter from the gallery -- his name was Johnathan O'Leary and that he was "just talking s**t'' during the incident.

Symonds must pay his fine by February 26 or face 20 days in jail. Burrows paid his $400 fine immediately, while his suspended sentence will be in effect for 18 months.
