The 45-year-old executive of the National Alcohol Drug Agency is now convalescing at an apartment near the hospital. His wife, Juanita, is with him.

Mr. Ming, who is having daily physical therapy, is said to be recovering well since the seven-hour operation.

He will be making regular visits to the hospital, which he entered on February 9 this year.
