C.V. (Jim) Woolridge said the new park will be created on Harlem Heights Road on property made available by unidentified benefactors.

In addition to playground equipment, the new park will boast park benches for seniors.

Regarding suggestions that a park should be created at Duck's Puddle, Mr.

Woolridge said the area was not a practical choice for a "playland''.

"The small children we need to attract are the ones in the Harlem area,'' he said. "If a park was to be put in the old Duck's Puddle field these youngsters who are very small children would have to cross a public road.'' Mr. Woolridge also pointed out that Bailey's Bay Cricket Club needed the area for parking for cricket games.
