Par-la-Ville Road could begin as early as next month.
The Development Applications Board has given the green light to Bermuda Press Holdings Limited to erect the six-storey office building in what is now the car park for The Royal Gazette .
Work is expected to be completed next year, according to general manager Keith Jensen.
In handing out their approval, the DAB stipulated that all glazing on the ground floor of the building must be non-reflecting.
Meanwhile, the DAB rejected an application from Bermuda Farms in Devonshire to erect a two-storey cultivation plant.
Planners said they denied the December application because of lack of information.
