right next to a drug rehabilitation centre.

Carla Maria Easton, 37, was arrested in a crack house on Union Street, north Hamilton, on July 1 last year.

Police raided the derelict building, which joins onto the Focus drug treatment centre, and found a crack pipe in Easton's bra. Officers also found 0.03 grammes of cocaine.

Easton, of Spice Hill Road, Warwick, pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine and possessing drug equipment. Senior Magistrate Will Francis fined her $150 for the cocaine, $100 for the crack pipe and $1,000 because she took the drugs right next to a rehabilitation clinic.

Mr. Francis said: "That is what makes this offence so serious.'' Unemployed Easton has until August 31 to pay her fines, or faces 100 days in prison.
