A 20-year-old woman was taken to hospital, from a St. David's residence, at about 1 a.m.

She was suffering from a serious head wound and bruising to her arms and legs after she was allegedly kicked and punched by her assailant.

A 22-year-old Warwick man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
