A purse was stolen from one of the meeting rooms at Bermuda College around 2.30 p.m. The theft is believed to have occurred over a 15-minute period when the woman left the room.

Another woman left her handbag unattended in front of Nibbles Snacks Warehouse on Elliott Street in Pembroke. She returned to find the bag missing. The bag was later recovered with its contents minus the cash.

Police were also searching for a thief who repaid a woman who had given her a ride by stealing her purse.

The victim picked up the woman at the bottom of Lighthouse Hill on Middle Road in Southampton at 7.45 p.m. on Tuesday and dropped her off near the Henry VIII Restaurant.

She later discovered her purse, which was sitting in a bag on the back seat, had been stolen. The victim has given Police a description of the thief.
