Traffic will be stopped for the procession and Bermuda Fire Service -- where the dead man's father, Vincent is deputy chief -- will provide a guard of honour at the forecourt of Hamilton Fire Station.

The funeral of Det Con. Hollinsid, who was killed in a road accident on Middle Road, Devonshire, on Saturday, takes place at the Anglican Cathedral in Hamilton at 3 p.m..

There will be traffic controls from the Augustus Funeral Home on Brunswick Street to the cathedral.

There will also be controls along the route east on Elliott Street, south on Brunswick Street, east on Beacon Street, south on Cedar Avenue, east on Church Street.

After the funeral, Det Con. Hollinsid, 31, will be taken to the Methodist Cemetery on Cemetery Road, Pembroke, for burial.

Police say they have had a good response to appeals for witnesses to the accident, but are still looking for a taxi driver and two nurses to come forward.

A Police spokeswoman said: "We've had a really good response from the public but we are still interested in speaking to a taxi driver who took two men from the area of the Augustus Funeral Home in Pembroke to the Middle Road area.

"We are also interested in speaking to two ladies, who are believed to be nurses, who arrived immediately after the accident before the arrival of the ambulance.'' POLICEMEN POLICEMAN POL
