They will open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to enable the public to post mail in time for Christmas and to collect parcels, Postmaster General Mr. Clevelyn Crichlow said.

Mail carriers will also make deliveries on December 12 and 19.

Post office operations manager Mr. Derek Dillas urged residents to keep their dogs under control.

"We've had some bad attacks in the past,'' he said. "We would like to emphasise that people secure their dogs.

Mr. Dillas said people usually left their dogs untied on the weekend. But those who did not secure their dogs in previous years did not receive their mail.
