Prisoners charged with trafficking heroin
tried to exchange heroin at the Prison Farm in St. George's in October.
Charles Riley, who has now been moved back to Westgate Correctional Facility, and Wendy Dill both deny passing diamorphine on October 17.
Dill, 37, of Lighthouse Lane Southampton, will be tried on February 29. She was released on $1,000 bail.
Riley also denied a charge of possessing cannabis on that day.
Magistrate Archibald Warner, as he read the charge to Riley exclaimed: "Wait a minute, what's this here? You were in custody in October 1999?'' Riley replied: "Yes. And I've been dealt with by the prison.'' Mr. Warner set a trial date for June 16. Originally he had ordered an arrest warrant for Dill who arrived late, saying: "They're charged in such a way that we can proceed with him.''
