A $10 million cottage colony redevelopment is set to get off to a flying start this summer.

In a couple of weeks' time the Pink Beach Club and Cottage Colony will see the completion of phase two of the three part renovation and extension of the Tucker's Town site.

The addition of new suites and replacements for existing units will give the facility space for over 150 people.

And managing director Michael J. Williams predicted a full summer, with bookings already flooding in for the new rooms.

The total transformation of the colony, which will include 19 condominiums and more hotel units to take it up to 90, will be finished next summer.

Already two of the three and four bedroom condos, which will range in price from $1.95 and $2.3 million, have been sold.

Mr. Williams said: "We are just about ready to complete phase two.

"We are looking forward to a good season, we have got reservations for the suites.'' In the 23 new suites there are 17 junior, four luxury and another two units.

Many will be ocean view, Sea Rocks, and two special units go under the Ambassador and Governor names.

In addition, existing suites are being updated and outdoor dining will again be a feature this summer.

The condos are currently being built by DeCosta Construction, and will be 3,000ft in size, with garages. There could be lease back options for owners, who wish to let the units to visitors.
