And more than 500 senior citizens who are members of the Bermuda College's Seniors Learning Centre will attest to this.

Classes at the centre, which began in 1990 when Michael Brooks introduced the idea from Canada, are scheduled to resume this month.

In addition to 30 courses including Financial Planning, Racial and Religious Tolerance and Health Tips, the centre will this semester offer courses in travel, the Internet, Roots and Origins of Bermudians, "Legal Concerns'', "Writing our Memories'' and bowling.

All courses and activities are planned for the day so that seniors, "anyone over 55'', will not have to travel at night.

The centre will hold its annual general meeting at the College on September 10. For further information call 236-9000 ext. 279.
