Hubert Spence, of Verdmont Close, is charged with importation of a controlled drug, possession with intent to supply and handling in Smith's Parish on November 6.

Genghis Khan Ebbin, 16, of Spring Hill, Warwick, was found stripping a motorcycle by Police on the Ord Road playing fields.

The motorcycle had been stolen from the car park of the Henry VIII Restaurant and Pub, in Southampton. Ebbin was found stripping it for parts 12 hours later.

He admitted taking a sprocket, exhaust pipe and baffle from the motorcycle.

Mr. Francis adjourned the case for a social inquiry report for two weeks. He told Ebbin: "I want to know more about you and why you did this.'' FINAL WARNING CTS Final warning A 41-year-old Pembroke man with a history of theft was given a stern warning in Magistrates' Court after pleading guilty to stealing a bottle of Bacardi Rum.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis told Wendall Albert Scraders: "Keep this up, and I'll have to start giving you (prison) time.'' Sgt. Rex Osborne, prosecuting, said Scraders entered the Dismont Robinson General Store on Wednesday evening, hid a bottle of rum under his jacket and left.

Confronted by the store's manager outside, Scraders denied any wrongdoing.

Police were called to the scene, and the Marsh Lane resident was arrested on suspicion of theft.

The traffic flow on Water Street will switch directions from November 16.

It will move from east to west, entering from King's Square.

And the traffic flow in Blacksmith's Hill will revert to its original direction.

It will move down the hill with a right turn at the bottom, passing the marine station at Hunter's Wharf, and exiting via Penno's Drive on to York Street.

JAZZ DATE ADDITION THR Jazz date addition Jazz musician Ahmad Jamal has added another date to his Bermuda Festival visit following a huge demand from fans.

Tickets have sold out for his City Hall shows on January 22 and 23, so now another has been added on January 24.

The US pianist will be bringing two group members for the shows.

Offices raided Thieves took advantage of the Remembrance Day holiday on Wednesday to break into six offices on Pitts Bay Road.

The break-ins were reported when employees returned to the businesses yesterday.

In a separate incident, a Devonshire woman returned from an overseas trip to find her Frog Lane apartment had been broken into and ransacked. It is not yet known if anything was stolen.

HOUSE FIRES FIR House fires Firefighters raced to two early morning structural blazes this week, but in both cases damage was relatively minor and no injuries were reported.

Two appliances and nine men rushed to a private residence on Dock Hill in Devonshire at around 1.50 a.m. on Tuesday, but the home's occupants extinguished the flames with buckets of water before their arrival.

A pot left on a stove was blamed for the fire, and damage to the home was confined to the kitchen.

Shortly after 6.30 a.m., two Bermuda Fire Station appliances and a US Navy Base fire vehicle were called to a house fire on Sofar Lane in St. David's.

Faulty electrical wiring in the bathroom had apparently caused the blaze.
