Andre Mason, of Wellington Hill, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to driving while impaired.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Donald Grant said Police patrolling Kindley Field Road in St. George's on the morning of July 13 saw Mason, who was riding a cycle, swerving in the road. The officers then saw him overtake another cycle on the inside, making the other rider swerve to avoid a collision.

Sgt. Grant said when Mason was stopped he was unstable on his feet and had to lean on the cycle for support.

Mason told Police he had been on a cruise and had had a few beers.
