A woman on South Shore Road woke up at about 5 a.m. on Saturday after hearing a noise. She went into the living room just in time to see a figure escaping from the apartment. A green knapsack containing clothing, cash and other personal items was later discovered to be missing.
A White Sands Road couple also woke up on Saturday morning to find that their home had been raided.
A quantity of cash left in a wallet in the kitchen had been taken.
Also in Paget thieves were forced to leave empty handed after attempting to break into two homes on Middle Road in the early hours of Saturday. They caused some damage to the first house while gaining entry but stole nothing.
In the second house their attempts to break in were foiled by extra security locks.
SIX ARRESTED AFTER DISTURBANCE CRM Six arrested after disturbance Police made six arrests in the early hours of yesterday morning following reports of a disturbance at the Spinning Wheel nightclub on Court Street, Hamilton.
One of those arrested -- a 37-year-old Devonshire man -- was carrying a knife with a ten-inch blade.

The teenager claimed he carried the weapon, which had a four-inch blade, for protection.
He was taken to Hamilton Police Station and later bailed.
CASH DISCOVERED AT ATM MACHINE POL Cash discovered at ATM machine Police have received a large quantity of cash which was discovered at an ATM machine.
The money was handed in by an honest member of the public.
The owner can collect the money from Hamilton Police Station on the production of correct identification.
