head-on collision near the PHC Stadium in Warwick yesterday.

A 49-year-old Warwick man, who had been driving a white Ford Laser west on Middle Road, was taken to hospital unconscious and with head wounds.

He had collided with a grey Subaru travelling east and being driven by two Singapore nationals employed at the Southampton Princess.

One of the men, a 28-year-old, suffered back and neck injuries. His passenger, a 30-year-old, sustained injuries to his arms and face. Both cars were extensively damaged.

The accident occurred around 5.10 p.m. and caused a massive traffic jam with roads being blocked off until 7.30 p.m.

All three men were last night undergoing surgery.
