Mr. W.A.Toppy Cowen, managing director of Pink Beach Club, in Smith's Parish, has advertised in a Connecticut paper in an attempt to persuade soon-to-be-wed couples to visit Bermuda for their big day.

Mr. Cowen will be organising the weddings in a submarine off the Island, for people wishing to break from tradition.

An article by Henry Josten, for Connecticut-based Shore Line Newspapers, said: "Now wouldn't that be something to tell your grandchildren about?'' He goes on to point out that the Pink Beach will organise weddings under moongates and on the beach, as well as more traditional ceremonies under the roofs of the Island's many churches.
