Last night the depression was 1,229 nautical miles south southeast of Bermuda with 30-knot winds with gusts to 40 knots.

It was moving west northwest at 10 knots and forecasters' longest range predictions are that it will be 738 nautical miles south of the Island on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Alberto, which menaced Bermuda last weekend, is completing a loop midway between the Azores and Bermuda and will head into colder climates in the next few days.

However, its closest point of approach will be early tomorrow morning when it will be 799 miles due east.
