The small brown dog disappeared on Saturday at the US Naval Air Station. A $200 reward is offered for its return.

MARINE POLICE HELP STRANDED WINDSURFER POL Marine police help stranded windsurfer The Police marine unit came to the aid of a stranded windsurfer last week. A 30-year-old visitor from the United Kingdom was windsurfing off Burgess Point at about 4 p.m. when the wind died and he was stranded away from shore, a Police spokesman said.

The Police marine unit responded and brought him ashore. The man, who is staying with Bermudians in Smith's Parish, was not injured.

YOUNG GIRL INVOLVED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT AC Young girl involved in traffic accident A child was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital recently after she was in collision with a motorcycle in front of City Hall.

Bystanders said the young girl was crossing Church Street on foot with her mother when the collision occurred. The girl appeared to have a concussion, but did not appear seriously injured, bystanders said.

She was taken from the scene in an ambulance.

MAN BROKE INTO BUSINESS THREE TIMES CRM Man broke into business three times It was third time unlucky for Kervin Simmons.

The 34-year-old man, who has no fixed abode, was handed a six-month prison sentence in Magistrates' Court last week after he pleaded guilty to breaking into the same business on three different occasions.

Simmons admitted he broke into A and P Marine in Smiths on April 24, again on May 6, and for a third and final time on June 12.

On each of the first two occasions, Simmons stole $200 in cash which belonged to Mr. Michael Araujo, court was told.

On the third occasion, he broke into the business with intent to steal. After his arrest, Simmons made a full confession to Police and said he spent the money on alcohol and drugs. He pleaded guilty on November 10.

Simmons' sentencing was delayed to give him a chance to take part in a programme for drug addicts, but probation officer Mr. Vincent Ratteray told acting Magistrate the Wor. Mr. Wilhelm Bourne that Simmons failed to keep his appointments.

"I think it shows a total disrespect for our department,'' Mr. Ratteray said.

Simmons said he missed the appointments because he was sick. Mr. Bourne handed Simmons a six-month prison sentence on each charge, and said they could be served concurrently.

Craig Perry, 22, Walter M. Etna, 50, and Lea Maxine Butterfield, 31, all pleaded guilty to the offence.

Police on patrol at 4 a.m. on December 19 discovered an accident on Trimingham Hill in Paget. A car had run into the roadside wall and damaged a 5 to 6-foot section.

Perry, the driver, of Oleander Hill in Hamilton Parish, was standing by the car, and the police report noted his eyes were glazed and he smelled of intoxicants. The level of alcohol in his blood was found to be 153 mg per 100 ml of blood.

On December 21, Etna, a Pembroke man, was followed by Police along Middle Road in Devonshire at 3:30 a.m.

Sgt. Peter Giles, prosecuting, said Etna was driving erratically and crossing the centre line. Etna was eventually stopped, and the report noted he smelled of intoxicants and his eyes were glazed.

Butterfield, of Still Hill in Paget, was stopped on Trimingham Road on December 23, after patrolling Police noticed her driving was "slow and hesitant''.

A sample of breath showed she had 153 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood. Mr.

Francis imposed fines of $400 each, and 12 months' disqualification.

Edward Simmons, of Church Valley Lane, pleaded guilty to the December 30 offence.
