US firm to help tourism effort
Tourism officials to help the process of developing a five-year strategic marketing plan for the Island.
The firm has been described as a leader in marketing consulting. It helps companies or organisations develop a strategic road map to create long term profit and growth.
It does this through focussing on issues like future market scenarios, financial goals, market segmentation and targeting, distribution channels, tactical marketing plans and organisational alignment.
Tourism Board marketing committee chairman Terrett West said: "MCA are experts at developing marketing plans and they have a long history of doing this. They are at the top of their field.'' MCA has worked with the Bank of Bermuda and Exel Reinsurance. Proposed members of the project team to work in Bermuda are project manager Dana Langham, senior team member Matt Freeman, and senior project advisors Bob Petisi, Laura Lang and Tom Chapman.
Internationally they have worked with Curacao, Hawaii and Puerto Rico tourism plus individual travel and leisure entities such as Avis Car Rentals, Club Med and Hilton Hotels, Disney, British Airways and TWA.
Besides travel and leisure, MCA are involved in the fields of consumer goods and services, financial services, electronics, telecommunications, information services and health care. MCA can provide either fully integrated marketing services or those areas of expertise -- market analysis, strategy, planning, programmes, execution and research -- that its clients require.
