be assailant who she said tried to sexually assault her.

The woman told Police she was alone at Chaplain Bay Beach in Warwick around 4.45 p.m. on Saturday when a white man about five-foot 10-inches tall, smelling strongly of alcohol, approached her.

The woman said he tried to initiate a conversation with her and as she left the beach she felt he was following her.

The woman said the man jumped out from bushes as she neared her bike in the parking lot, and grabbed her with both hands.

Experienced in self-defence, the woman was able to knock the assailant off her and escape on her motorbike.

Police report they combed the area but did not find the man.

In a separate incident, Police have arrested a man in connection with a report last week of sexual exploitation. Police are remaining tight lipped about this incident "due to the sensitive nature of the inquiries.''
