has landed two men in the Supreme Court.

The pair are accused of seriously sexually assaulting the Pembroke woman on December 11, 1994 at the equestrian centre on Vesey Street in Devonshire.

At the time of the incident both men lived in Devonshire and were 19 and 17 years old.

Yesterday, the woman told the court that she visited several Hamilton night spots and throughout the evening had consumed a few drinks.

After making her way to the Elbow Beach Staff Club, the seven-man, five-woman jury heard that the woman hitched a ride with the men after failing to find a cab around 4 a.m.

While travelling on the motorcycle with one of the riders, the woman said the man turned around and tried to grab hold of her top.

The woman said she got off the bike and told them she only wanted a lift home.

At that time, the woman said, she was able to get a look at the bikes's licence plate number.

"I told them I knew the registration number of the bike and that's when the bigger of the two got on his bike and drove off,'' she recalled. "They didn't make any more sexual advances to me at that point.'' After riding for an unknown time, the woman said she fell off the bike after it came to an "abrupt'' halt in an unfamiliar area.

The woman testified that the thinner of the two men, who was standing in front of her, started to grab hold of the bottom of her jeans. It was then that the alleged rape took place, she said.

She said she sustained scratches to her face, a swollen lip, and bruising to her legs and back.
