Bermuda Industrial Union president Mr. Ottiwell Simmons said that the talks, which were expected to have concluded on Friday, had been held over because there were still 12 issues outstanding.
Some of the issues concern wages, vacations and sickness benefits.
The dispute went to arbitration last Tuesday. Some issues were negotiated prior to arbitration.
In July, essential services workers gave 21 days strike notice. However, the issue was put to arbitration so the strike notice was nullified.
