the second floor of a building, Works & Engineering Minister the Hon. Leonard Gibbons said yesterday.

And Mr. Gibbons said his Ministry was helping the BPHA find a more suitable office.

Mr. Gibbons rejected a charge from National Liberal Party spokesman Mr.

Charles Jeffers that by telling the BPHA it must leave the Old Military Hospital at Prospect, Devonshire by November 30, "he seems unaware of or unconcerned about the special needs of the association''.

While the BPHA has complained the move meant that offices specially-equipped for the handicapped would be turned over to the able-bodied, Mr. Gibbons said: "I have a great deal of difficulty in putting the physically handicapped on the second floor, even with an elevator.'' Handicapped people were able to use the elevator to reach the offices, but what would happen if there was a fire? Mr. Gibbons asked.

Otherwise, the BPHA had a specially-equipped bathroom in the building, but that was all, he said. There was also "a very steep driveway''.

The Ministry says it needs the old hospital building as a works depot while building the new senior secondary school at Prospect.

The BPHA did excellent work and "I'm certainly not comfortable in the fact that we gave them two and a half months to relocate'', Mr. Gibbons said.

"We are diligently looking for somewhere else (for the BPHA). We have some definite ideas, but it's too early to say exactly where.

"I have given them my personal assurance that they won't be put out, per se,'' Mr. Gibbons said.
