Windsor, succumbed at her home at 3 Langton Lane, Pembroke, on Sunday after a short illness.

The daughter of Robin Horneffer and the late Grant Horneffer, Windsor came to Bermuda in 1974 and promptly feel in love with the Island and its people. Her wide cross section of friends included members of the international and local business community, the hospitality industry and many others from all walks of life.

She was at the time of her death Managing Director of Winterhur International Services Ltd. whose head office are in Winterhur, Switzerland.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she was a graduate of Westminster High School and a member of the Southern Ballet. She attended St.John's University in Annapolis, Maryland and obtained her accounting degree from Georgia State University. She later obtained her CA.

Her employment in Bermuda included Shell Oil Company, Rollins Burdick Hunter, Argus Management Services and Winterhur International.

A keen lover of gardening and travel she spent as much of her free time as possible tending to potted plants and flower beds at her residence. She made extensive visits to Europe, lived in Saudi Arabia for a while and travelled throughout the United States and Canada.

With a sound background in business Windsor might well have found a comfortable niche in any major corporation in the United States or Europe. But her love for Bermuda prevailed and she found it difficult to be separated from these shores for any length of time. When she learned that her illness was terminal her final wish was to end her life here in her adopted homeland.

Windsor is also survived by her daughter, Robin Oliver, two brothers, Steve and Fred, all of whom reside in the United States. In addition she leaves to mourn a host of friends and colleagues in the field of business who, while saddened by her untimely passing, will doubtless treasure the memory of a dynamic and talented human being who lived life to its fullest.
