September 27 will be representing himself from now on.
Richard Steven Williams, 25, of Paget, has also been charged with breaking into the 67-year-old Maureen Edith Parker's home with the intent to steal on the same date.
Williams, who appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday, was represented by Miss Victoria Pearman. But Miss Pearman told the court Williams had refused to give her instructions.
Williams yesterday told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis that he wanted to represent himself.
Mr. Francis granted leave for Miss Pearman and adjourned the case until November 14.
Williams, who has been in custody since his arrest, has not been required to enter a plea since the charges against him are indictable.
