the AIDS virus has relaunched its website.

The Alan Vincent Smith Foundation plans to update the site more frequently and provide online registration for volunteers as it bids to improve awareness about AIDS.

It will also offer MEDPULSE, a weekly newsletter from Medscape that features opinions and articles on HIV treatment and advocacy.

The old site's usual mix of Frequently Asked Questions and other information on the transmission of HIV and AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases and their prevention will continue.

Links to other web sites will also be offered as will contact numbers and addresses for similar organisations around the world.

The AVS website, www.bermuda.bm/aidsfoundation, will also provide up to date information on the spread of the disease collected by the Health Department.
