Police prosecutor Sgt. Anthony Mouchette said Christopher Matarazzo, 25, of Boston, had his cabin on board the Song of America searched on October 8 at 1.20 p.m. in Hamilton.

Customs officers found a homemade cigarette in a drawer. Police were called and Matarazzo was taken to Hamilton Police Station. The contents of the cigarette were found to be 2.5 grams of cannabis.

Matarazzo was fined $200.
