The first incident took place around 4 p.m. on Tuesday just outside the Heron Bay MarketPlace.

A Police spokesperson said a Yamaha bike ridden by a 28-year-old Sandys Parish man was travelling east on Middle Road when it was in collision with a Mitsubishi car driven by a 59-year-old Southampton woman who was exiting the MarketPlace.

The cycle rider sustained a broken right collar bone while the car driver was unhurt.

And a six-year-old boy remains in the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit with head injuries after a crash in Pembroke.

The Police spokesperson said the child was riding his pedal cycle on Tuesday afternoon when he was in collision with a scooter ridden by a 33-year-old Pembroke man.

The youngster remains in critical but stable condition and the cycle rider has also been detained in hospital with a suspected concussion.

The accident took place as the scooter was going north on Woodlands Road, Pembroke and the pedal cycle was emerging from a junction.
