Banned driver gave false name
12-month driving bans in Magistrates' Court.
She pleaded guilty to speeding at 68 kph, driving while disqualified and giving false information to Police.
Johanne Y. Nisbett, 34, was caught at 3.00 a.m. in a Police radar trap on North Shore in Hamilton Parish on August 18, said Police Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting.
Nisbett was pulled over and ticketed, but gave her name as Rochelle Kelly, said Insp. Duffy.
Later Police investigation proved that Nisbett had given the wrong name and was banned from the roads until November, 1992.
Because of a previous speeding conviction, Acting Senior Magistrate the Wor.
John Judge fined Nisbett $230 and disqualified her from driving for one year for speeding.
He added a $350 fine and another 12-month driving ban for driving while disqualified. The two disqualifications will be served together, ending in November, 1993.
For issuing false information, Mr. Judge fined Nisbett $200.
