DATE SET CTS Date set A Sandys man was given a court date for trial last week -- seven years to the day after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman.

Asked by Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner if he had been living abroad, the man -- who cannot be named for legal reasons -- admitted he had lived in the US.

He will return to court on May 31 when prosecutors will present any amendments to the charge.

The 34-year-old man is alleged to have sexually assaulted the woman on May 25, 1993, in Smith's Parish and is believed to have been placed on bail by a magistrate shortly after being charged.
