American citizens living in Bermuda will be able to vote in this year's US presidential election between George W. Bush and Al Gore.

DHL Worldwide Express will deliver postal ballots for free to a hub at Miami International Airport where they will be taken by the US postal service to an election bureau.

Collection boxes will be available at DHL's office in Hamilton and at the US Consulate and must be returned by November 1.

It is the third presidential election in which the company has provided the service. DHL's company's commercial general manager Derek Myles said: "Based on our experience in the 1992 and 1996 elections, we expect many of the Americans in Bermuda to take advantage of this opportunity.''
