announced it will build a six-storey building on its current parking lot.

In a press release, Roger Davidson, president of the company, said it had informed the Bermuda Stock Exchange of the plans to put up the office building.

Planning applications were submitted by architects Barker and Linberg on Friday for the building on the lot which holds the newspaper's parking lot and underground storage.

It is expected the project will get underway during 1999 and be completed during 2000. The tendering process for the building contract has not been started.

Mr. Davidson added: "The final determination of the project will be subject to suitable financing, pre-construction tenant's agreements, and construction costs.'' The Green Island is expected to stay at the Island for another two weeks while engineers fix a 30 foot by 90 foot hole in its hull.
