BermyNET.com takes to the air
Richardson is starting the Island's first interactive radio show called "TGIB.'' To find out exactly what TGIB stands for, listeners will have to tune into the inaugural show which will air on Power 95 on Wednesday nights from 8 to 10 p.m., starting on April 18.
The show will be hosted by Juggling Jason, and will feature the top ten, a poll, a weekly trivia question, a "Bermy fact,'' and a 30-minute non stop mix.
The show will be interactive as people will be able to visit the website to vote on their favourite songs, and the most popular will be aired as the top-ten.
People will also be able to visit the site while the show is in progress and ask questions and cast votes and so on.
BermyNET.com was born unofficially on November 1999 with "a dream and a digital camera''.
The site creators would go out on the weekends to their favourite spots and take pictures of what they saw and put them on the web.
They said their friends overseas got a kick out of seeing stuff from home, and as the weeks went by, they found that their website was getting quite alot of attention.
This led to several ideas that culminated in the creation of BermyNET.com.
The site continued to grow, and a year ago it was relaunched with a whole new look that included much more information.
In July last year, the site was awarded the Bermudian's "Best of Bermuda Gold Award 2000,'' for best local website.
