BIU late with filing 1999 accounts

A spokesman for the Registrar General said the accounts were due in by June last year but were still not present yesterday.

A spokesman for the Registrar General said the accounts were due in by June last year but were still not present yesterday.
She said: "We expect them soon -- they are corresponding regularly with us.'' But if the union fails to put in their accounts and are convicted the maximum fine it can incur is $72.
BIU President Derrick Burgess said the accounts were not ready yet. He told The Royal Gazette : "We don't hide anything. I will even send you a copy.''
